Using a prepared pastry crust makes these apple dumplings an easy fall treat.
Ingredients:
Apples - 8 medium
Syrup - boil together for 3 minutes:
3 cups water
4 Tblsp butter
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Filling for apple cavities:
1 cup sugar
1 Tblsp pumpkin pie spice
Core and peel 8 medium sized tart apples.
Roll out 2 pie crusts and divide into 8 equal sections.
Wrap crust up around the apple and place upside down into baking dish.
Pour prepared syrup around apples.
Bake at 425 for approximately 30-35 minutes.
Sit back and enjoy hearing, "Mom, you're the best!"
