has come and gone in the blink of an eye. The bustling schedule that we’ve welcomed this fall doesn’t allow for time to stand still.
September has been, for me, a heart-stirring month!
Marie is a senior and has a calendar filled with academic challenges. Some of her courses include Physics, Trig, Spanish 3, and Psychology. Much of her time is spent studying and preparing for the upcoming SAT. With wanting to own her own business being ever on her mind for the future, she’s doing a lot of research on potential colleges. I’m savoring every moment she is here as I know her college days will be upon us all too soon.
Jackson is just beginning high school. With Mrs. Connor teaching his English course and Mrs. Klees teaching Biology, my load has been significantly lightened. We’ve joined a homeschool Co-op that meets each Tuesday and allows Clara and Aaron the awesome opportunity of learning science from a naturalist. They are also involved in a hands-on geography class, an art class and Spanish introduction. Clara has recently signed on to the USA Swim Team with practices two or three times a week.
We’ve been working on many projects his month with the hope of keeping our homeschool fresh and exciting.
A lapbook of the Ten Commandments
A replica of Stonehenge...in the making
A little felt girl labeled in all things Spanish
And frequent outside activities including stream studies, bug collecting, and nature walks.
We’ve even snuck in an afternoon of pickling peppers!!!
Visits with our sweet little Leigha have brought joy to our days! She and her Mamma have traveled with us on our hikes and to our stream studies.
Some days are just spent snuggling
We’ll conclude this busy month celebrating Jason’s 26th birthday…a Steeler game, steak salad and chocolate cake round out the day!
The best part…all my children are here today…together again.
What a great post. I love all the pictures of your family. Great lapbook, btw!!

Oh, how touching. Just the title of your post makes me misty-eyed--I love September, but it always makes me feel a little melancholy, too. Your sweet post is a perfect example of why.
You have a beautiful family!
Warmly,
Eileen
